New childtheme launched, other one on its way

In our last post we talked about our road to customer success, and since that last post we made another step towards that customer success.

First of all, we launched our latest ClassiPress childthemeClasifichados“. The design of Clasifichados is based on the look and feel of the good old classified ads you see in newspapers.

This is the first childtheme we made that comes with a configuration panel in the backend. Another thing we’re adding to give our customers more control over the themes. In this first release there are a few options you can adjust, but we’re looking to add more in the future.

Besides new childthemes, we’re also updating the older ones. We decided not to update all of them, and we’re even thinking about removing some of the older ones. That way we can focus on the premium themes that are popular amongst the ClassiPress users.

The next childtheme we’re updating is Cutest. In fact, the update is almost ready to go live, so keep an eye on the marketplace!

New childtheme a la Fiverr

In the past we did some Childtheme clones. Cutest is based on the popular marketplace “Etsy” for example. And Pinterclass is a clone of the popular image sharing network Pinterest.

Our next childtheme is going to be another clone. Rubencio took a look at a lot of website, but this one really stands out when it comes to classified ads.

The design of Fiverr is clean and modern, and it’s suitable to convert this one into a ClassiPress childtheme!

The theme comes with a gigantic homepage slider which will be configurable in the backend. You will be able to upload sliders, add a headline and a custom link.

Very NiceI I would like to see the drop down selections (3) on the top fold. This seems to be an easy way to engage the visitor to start searching in a fast way. Hopefully, you’ll be able to integrate the CP method of using taxonomy categories to a three level type of search. i.e. city, item, price.

With the option in the backend to determine which three parameters you want to use. Just like Refine Search setup can be made. If you can get the refine search feature in CP to be in the top fold as displayed in your image, you will have a great winner! This way you can allow customers to insert up to “X” number of drop down selection fields to display.

Just some ideas for you to work with:)

      Hi Robert,

Thanks a lot for your advices!! Will try to integrate simple settings into this but not sure what’s the best in order to make the childtheme compatible with all possible buyers since there are tons of possibilities based on every project’s custom fields.

      Best regards!

    Hi Ruben,

This is an almost exact replica of my website – studentsublets.com. Are you cloning my website? I’ve given you access to my website multiple times to help with projects.

Also, you made this slider for me custom for $200-300 which is live on my website right now…

    Can you explain?

      Hi Joe,
I don’t know where you get the idea of cloning your website. The design doesn’t even come near yours.

The design is based on the popular website “Fiverr”. I suggest you take a look at that website and you’ll see where we’re going.
